Our Story
Three decades in the woods.
The Linville River Company has delivered firewood and ice to grocery and convenience stores, campgrounds, neighbors, and others in and around Linville, North Carolina since 1995. Lee Carter started the business with a chainsaw and an axe — because he loved being in the woods and providing a service. No one else in the area delivered ice to the community, so he added that too.
The company is now in the hands of his son, Jeb Carter, who carries that same standard forward. Every bundle is sourced from wood waste, sustainably harvested by certified local loggers, and dried in a USDA-certified kiln.
