Linville River Company Story

The Linville River Company has delivered firewood and ice to grocery and convenience stores, camp grounds, neighbors, and others in and around Linville, North Carolina since 1995.

Lee Carter started the business with a chain saw and an axe because he loved to be in the woods and providing a service. No one else in the area delivered ice to the community, so he added this service too.

Linville River Company is now in the hands of Jeb Carter, Lee’s son.

Each bundle of Linville River Company firewood is sourced from wood waste sustainably harvested by certified local loggers.

The business remains strong for six reasons:

• A unique merchandizing system offers customers a secure, curbside firewood distribution system available in three colors: smoke gray, forest green, and black.
• Ice storage chests are available for short or long-term rental to customers in need of regular ice service
• No shrink with Linville River firewood bundles!
• High-quality hardwood that is dried in a USDA certified kiln
• Bundled wood packages with a handle for easy transport
